"Checking Launcher Version"

Hi,

When I open Technic Pack the first thing it says is "Checking Launcher Version", It is stuck at this screen.

I currently have Java installed and I am also running Windows 8 64-Bit

I have solved my issue, turns out you go to the Technic homepage and just use the Jar launcher.
