tekkit not downloading

when i tried to download the tekkit part of the technic launcher it would not download after about a second it just says download failed please help

I've just fixed the same problem. Don't know if it will work for everyone, but I opened the technic launcher and hit the settings gear in the top right. I then switched to use stable builds of the technic launcher, restarted the technic launcher and clicked play on tekkit classic and it was fine. hope this helps.
