launcher not downloading

when I opened the launcher for the first time it starts the download but does not complete it.

here is all the info I got:

it keeps stopping at 2%,5% or 12% with the message: 'downloading Launcher asset: OpenSans+Cy...'.

it does not disappear or give an error it just does not continue.

it does not appear as an opened program in the task bar or task manager.

I am running on windows 10.

I included a picture with the .technic folder and the downloading launcher.
