I am trying to run tekkit on Ubuntu.

with Open Java 6 and 7 it crashes during the launch. With orcale java it doesn't load at all. What version of java do i need?

Ubuntu 11.10 x64

Open JDK 6,7 Orcale JRE 7

Mods loaded: 1

ModLoader 1.1

That's nothing to do with java. Are you trying to start minecraft over a remote window? OpenGL cant be initialised by LWJGL over a remote window hence that error.

Either that or there is an issue with your video card drivers

I dought its over a remote windows, not done any seting with that, but it might be the graphic card drivers, im running only on intelHD Graphics..
