packs wont launch

minecraft launches when i use the default launcher, but when i use technic it does the "installing minecraft assets" and when it finishes notihing happens, the launcher just sits there and no packs open, not even vanilla

Its okay I found a solution!! After days I found out what to do!

 

Ok so go onto technic launcher, next under the X at the top right corner click launcher options, next go into Java settings and change where it says 1gb to 512mb. It worked for me and no other solution worked apart from this. I haven't seen anyone else talk about this so go round and spread the word!
