Description of Problem:

I just downloaded the launcher. I ran it, selected Tekkit, got all the stuff, but when I press log in the launcher window kinda blinks to the middle of my screen and *poofs* after checking minecraft for updates and checking Tekkit for updates. I get the feeling that this may be an issue with Java but I can't say.

Update:

So here's the Spiel. I looked around and junk and I'm come to the conclusion that Tekkit ain't running on Java 7. Gotta use Java 6. However I've reverted to Java 6 on my mac the Tekkit still refuses to run upon clicking login. It goes white screen for an instant and then *poofs*. I dunno what it is, but nothing seems to be working for me and I'd like some help from the mods.
