Is there something wrong with modpack deletion?

so... i had a modpack, decided to delete it and create a new one with the same name. but i cant.. it says "The name has already been taken." and it also says "You are using 2 of your 5 modpacks." even tho i don't have any modpacks any more... does anyone have an explanation? :S

I get the same error, good luck. It seems most of these forum trails lead to obsolete or dead end help info. My problem is that I created a Mod pack and when I go to change the download link and paste the new link, save it, then go to install it from the launcher it still shows the old link and can not install the pack. And of course there is no actual person to contact for any info on the problem.
