Technic Launcher Updater has stopped working

Launcher Version: Just re-downloaded it and I can't get on to see what the version is.

Operating System: Windows 7

Java Version: Just re-downloaded so the most recent version

Antivirus Program: AVG

Description of Problem:

Every time I try to open my technic launcher it says "Technic Launcher Updater has stopped working" my options are "check online for a solution" "close the program" or "debug the program"
