I don't think the launcher supports Java 7 because I had the same problem but once I switched to Java 6 it worked

I originally had Java Version 7 (updated without thinking first) which is what I think caused the issue in the first place. Then I downgraded to Java 6 Update 37 but I am still experiencing the same issue.

I'm having the same issue:

Launcher Version: 1.0.2.0

Operating System: OSX 10.7.5

Java Version: Java 6

Antivirus Program: Norton

Description of Problem:

Whenever I go into the technic launcher and hit log in, the game closes out.

Error Messages:

None

Unfortunately Java 7 is required for my online school's virtual classroom sessions so I can't delete it. Instead I found something that works. I created a start.command of the thread below's coding to force it to load java.
