Unable to download launcher

Antivirus Program: Avast!

Description of Problem:

I have been playing this mod for only about a week now and now upon trying to open it I get this, "Unable to download launcher. Please check your internet connection by opening www.techniclauncher.net in your webbrowser". I went to this webpage but it was very obviously not the right one. Also, my internet obviously works, I am posting this. I have temporarily gotten rid of my anti-virus system, re-downloaded the game, removed all the files from the equation, downloaded again, and updated my Java. All of these things did nothing for me. I searched my computer for every file containing anything I could think of coming from Tekkit and deleted them, all while still getting the same notification. Thank you in advance for any help you can give me and all those who have this problem.

I got it. There were a couple of files directly outside of the .techniclauncher folder that had technic in the name and I deleted them. Works fine now.
