Multiplayer whitescreens when logging in.

Launcher Version: 1.0.1.3

Operating System: Windows 7 64bit

Java Version: Java 7 Update 9 (64 bit) (have tried both)

Antivirus Program: Norton and Malwarebytes Anti-malware

Description of Problem:

Been playing Tekkit for a bit now and never had a problem with it, however tonight everytime I try to log in on my multiplayer world it crashes, it tells me its logging in then black screens then after a moment it white screens and cannot be shut off unless I ctrl+alt+del and force it shut. I have checked my java, uninstalled and reinstalled, tried running both 32 bit and 64 bit at the same time and singly, deleted tekkit and reinstalled, deleted the whole technic launcher folder and installed again, checked my graphics card which is all up to date (if you need to know it is an AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series card). Single player seems to work fine and my internet connection seems to be fine also (turned router on and off). and still it black screens then freezes on a white screen. I have also cleared cache and changed the memory settings to 1G 1.5G, 2G 4G and still nothing.

You should have posted this in the Tekkit Bug Board since you were able to get to the menus (unless I misread your post).

You can try deleting your player.dat file, be sure to make a backup first though. I think that you may have something in your inventory that is causing the problem.

The following line makes me think this:

The file is located in your Tekkit server's directory in <WORLDNAME>\players\<PLAYERNAME>.dat

So, assuming your world is called "town" and your in-game name is "collymog", look for <PATH_TO_SERVER>\town\players\collymog.dat

If that does not fix your problem, then you can easily restore your player.dat file and nothing will be lost.
