Technic launcher error about java 1.5

I downloaded Techic and Hexxit on my own Windows 10 PC with no problems.

I just got my wife a Windows 10 PC and loaded Minecraft just fine.  Then I downloaded the Technic Launcher but when I try to run it, it complains that I don't have Java 1.5.

I never saw that error message on my PC.

Any ideas on what could be causing that error ?
