Tekkit Launchers hangs on Mojang logo

Launcher Version: 1.0.2.5 (latest, I believe)

Operating System: Win 7 Ultimate (32 bit)

Java Version: Java Se 7 Update 9

Antivirus Program: Avast (switched off)

Description of Problem:

Been struggling with this problem for a while, thought I'd cracked it when I got the java website to acknowledge that my java works correctly. But now I have a different log error file.

Hoping someone will be able to decipher my log file and advise what the problem is. Minecraft works fine. just not tekkit.

nothing appears, program just hangs - then process has to be terminated in the task manager.
