V1.3.1 servers + updating launcher

Operating System: i7 intel core processor 8gb ram 750gb hardrive 22in screen laptop running on windows 7

Java Version: latest one available

Antivirus Program: mcafee

Description of Problem:

I think it may be that my launcher isnt updated to it's latest form, though ive deleted it and hit download technic launcher about 5 times so it should be, but i am unable to join any v1.3.1 tekkit servers, it says i need the 4 mods, which i tried downloading and putting into my technic launcher mods folder, but that didnt work, forcing me to just delete and redownload launcher again. Any solutions?

got it to work, had to manual select the tekkit version in the "options" of the initial launcher stage
