Finding a player

Hello everyone, I dont know if this is something impossible or not but arround march i had my own tekkit classic server "its not up anymore" and i reunited with a friend there but never give him my skype, He needed to go on vacation, Arround that time i closed the server because i couldnt run it anymore, Now i have a new minecraft server but 1.12 sponsored by another friend.

So my question was is it possible to search for a player? yes prob. but what is the best way to do it? i searched some stuff up but i didnt got any further.
