I've recently downloaded the technic launcher onto my computer (Mid 2012 MacBook Air, running MacOS High Sierra 10.13.6), but whenever I try to open the .jar file, I get a icon for a java file running in the taskbar, bottom right. After about three seconds, it disappears as if the program is closing, then reappears for another three seconds, then closes permanently. I checked the Force Quit menu, and nothing shows up that I didn't expect. I saw a similar post, where someone suggested switching to Java 8, and I tried this, but the problem persists. Does anyone know why this is happening?
