Custom Java args ignored by launcher

This has been reported before, but I wanted to re-iterate that the Java Args under Launcher Options -> Java Settings are ignored.

Basically every other launcher (including the vanilla launcher) allow you to set custom Java args through the GUI, but as far as I can tell the only way to apply these with Technic is to unzip the modpack.jar, and edit the version.json file as referenced here:

 

I think there are very valid reasons to have to set custom Java args, for example enabling Netty leak detection to find troublesome mods not freeing their memory, and it's frustrating that this Java Args box exists but does not do anything.

I'd like to suggest either the box is removed entirely, or it is kept and made actually functional.
