mahlazor Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 Hi. I got a new SSD disk for X-mas and I installed it, but to my horror I run out of memory after 2-3 minutes when I play Tekkit online. I don't have a clue why, Tekkit ran fin on my tired old HDD As you may see below, my specs aren't flipping out, but they're alright. SPECS: Graphics card: nVidia GeForce GTX275 CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E8400, 3 Ghz Not sure what motherboard I've got. I have latest Java, and SSP runs fine, 1,5 GB memory allocated to Tekkit. PS: Sorry for posting in wrong subforum, but I couldn't post in Bugs subforum Quote
thebird Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 How much RAM do you have? Swapping your hard drive out for an SSD shouldn't cause you to run out of memory. Do you not have enough space on the SSD for the pagefile or something? Also, you can post in the Bug subforum, look above the stickies. Quote
mahlazor Posted December 29, 2012 Author Posted December 29, 2012 6 GBs DDR2, I think. I have perfectly good space, like 70 GBs left Quote
mahlazor Posted January 1, 2013 Author Posted January 1, 2013 I tried allocating more memory. Still crashing! HALP! Quote
Cormac Burke Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 does it say Out of Memory! because if it does it happenes to me you need to 1)add more memory for tekkit classic 2)bring back your render distance 3) go to video options click the more option and click on auto save bring it to 30 mins that will help a lot hope you can get it for longer :D Quote
