Cannot launch modpacks with linux

I am unable to launch any modpacks through technic launcher in Linux. I have no problem launching vanilla minecraft through the actual minecraft launcher, but not with technic. Before trying to play any modpack, I get the message "You've selected Java 11.0.7,  which is known to have issues with Minecraft. Do you want to continue?" And it doesn't matter whether press yes or no, it never launches. I've even tried downloading different versions of java, but nothing works.
