trying to get onto a server

Operating System: Windows

Java Version: newest

Antivirus Program: Mcafee

Description of Problem:

i have been on my friends server and have been for a few weeks now. in he lat couple of days when itry to log in it logs me in but i get a white sreen, error message that disappears to quickly to read and then a white screen - pleas help

I am haveing a simmular issue, i have set up a server on Tekkit, got the server up and running, but when i try to log onto it, it tells me their are 4 mods that im missing to get on the server, i cannot find any way in the launcher to update my mods, i even cleared the cache and made it redownload everything, how can i fix this issue so i can get on the server to play? The Mods are as follows:

mod_IC2 v1.103

mod_ComputerCraft 1.41

mod_CCTurtle 1.41

mod_Railcraft 5.4.7

I'm having a similar problem, but the mod versions it is requesting are:

mod_IC2 v1.97

mod_CCTurtle 1.33

mod_ComputerCraft 1.33

mod_Railcraft 5.3.3

Is there a way to choose the mod versions in Tekkit? Or do I basically have to hope the guy updates his server version?
