Launcher not connecting to mojang

Ive downloaded the launcher and now every time I try to login into my mojang account it keeps giving me the same error saying that an error has occurred attempting to reach authserver.mojang.com I was wondering if there was anything that I could do to fix this?

When did you buy Minecraft? Due to the recent change that minecraft uses microsoft accounts, if you bought an account after December 2020, you will not be able to use Technic.
