Modpacks won't launch

I'm trying to open any modpack and it's not working at all. I uninstalled java 8 and installed java 7 to see if that was it, but it hasn't worked. Allocated more/less RAM and that hasn't worked either. I also tried the .bat file that has been going around to remove any variables that may be conflicting with java and the launcher and that hasn't worked either. I'm not sure what else I should be trying so any feedback is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
