"Minecraft failed to start, errors reported in log"

Launcher Version: 1.0.2.0

Operating System: Mac OSX Mountain Lion (Version:10.8.2)

Java Version: i dont know how to figure out what version i have

Description of Problem:

When i Launcher any mod pack in the launcher it works and then it gets stuck on a white screen with an error saying "Minecraft failed to start, errors reported in log"

i dont even know where the log is :l either

Error Messages:

"Minecraft failed to start, erros reported in log"

I have the same issue, except for with Tekkit, but I've been using Tekkit since Lion, so I guess that's why that still works?
