Nobody can connect to server

OS: Windows Server Standard Service pack 2

Java Version: 1.7.0

Description of Problem:

The server displays on the command prompt that everything is running fine, but when I try to connect it says "Can't reach server" When I restart the server it displays the server, but when I connect everything is black and I fall through the ground, then it boots me off, and then it says "Can't reach server" again. Also, this issue is occuring not only with myself but with others trying to connect so it isn't a browser issue.

Sounds as though you'r connection is bad. It sounds impossible I know; however, falling the way you said indicates slow connection. Make sure the server is port forwarded. Is the server on a different computer?

Yes the server is actually hosted through a hosting service and I am using a VDS server, so I have full control over remote desktop connection

Ok, that tells me that the port is not setup correctly. Just to clarify, is the server in your home?

No the server isn't in my home, like I said I am using a hosting service, its being hosted somewhere in Texas
