My Tekkit closes down instantly without warning, anyone know anything about this?

Operating System: Windows 8

Java Version: 64-bit

Antivirus Program: Norton internet security

Description of Problem:

I'll be playing Tekkit classic on single player, (as you do) when for no reason what so ever my technic launcher will immediately close, without warning, and it keeps happening. I've tried deleting and re-downloading another launcher, but the problem still keeps happening.
