Updating to 2.1.1 from 2.0 - SOLVED (I think)

Hey, I'm not sure if it's a stupid question or just incredibly simple but -

If I want to update my server (hosted online) from 2.0 to 2.1.1, do I get rid of everything but the world files and use the new ZIP file for 2.1.1? Or does this get rid of some of the in-game progress (such as learnt items on the transmutation table).
