Can't launch any mod

Launcher Version: 3.1.2

Operating System: Mac OSX 10.7.5

Java Version: Java 7

Description of Problem:

the first problem is that it takes 3-5 times clicking on the launcher for it to actually launch, then when in the launcher, I select tekkit or any other mod, log in and it will pop up a window for a couple of seconds, the launcher will disappear (this is good, i think) and then the window which should have shown MOJANG, disapears too, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=28BQKvRPmtY thats what it does for me...
