Tekkit will not run.

I just downloaded and installed Tekkit Classic. The technic launcher loads just fine, but once i click log in so I can run tekkit, it gets to the mojang screen and closes. It doesn't have any errors or anything, it just closes. Also it wont let me run a tekkit server, when I click to run it it sets up the property file but other than that nothing will happen. Am I missing something?
