Launcher fails to change modpack versions

Question

Posted

Launcher Version: 1.1.2.0

Operating System: Windows 7 64-bit

Java Version: 1.7.0_03

Antivirus Program: Avast

Description of Problem:

The Technic Launcher is unable to change or install new modpacks. (Tested Tekkit Lite and custom pack 3) I tried adding java as an exception in my antivirus and deleting the tekkitlite and launcher folders in my .technicpack folder. I also tried running the .jar version of the launcher, freshly downloaded from the pack homepage. The launcher launches modpacks as already installed successfully.

Error Messages:

Update Failed!

Edit: Cleared cache and the launcher worked. This problem doesn't seem to be in "common problems and fixes", I found it browsing a random other thread. Consider adding it there?
