How to allow people to only see the recipes in NEI. Even myself, the owner.

I have a server and need to know how to only allow the recipes to be seen. Like you can't spawn things ini your inventory, only look at the recipes. Please help me. This is urgent!

Go to your server files. Go to /config/NEI.cfg.

Find 'lockmode=-1'. Change it to 'lockmode=1'

Im wanting to know the same thing, and I found only NEIServer in the Config folder... when doing a search on my computer for NEI.cfg it was inside the BACKUP folder, and when I opened it with notepad, there was no such command like as "lockmode=-1" at all....

Or, rather than doing a search, you could maybe open up the place where you know it is? In your server files, in the config folder.

I know its in there? I just stated that its NOT in there... so on the contrary, I know its NOT in there.

Ill say it again, the only NEI related file inside the Server>>Config folder was NEIServer.CFG and I looked in there too, there is no such command line as "lockmode=-1"

I figured it out, cause people here are not helpful... You need to download a plugin called Essentials... it allows people to build while simultaneously preventing people from using Cheat Mode... as for the OP's ability and the server admin's ability, you'll have to just go to options at the bottom left of your screen while in your inventory and simply turn CHEAT MODE into RECIPE MODE
