Lost All items

The other day my whole inventory was erased. I had really important stuff and stuff that was really expensive to make. The server owner won't give me my stuff back if I can't prove there is a glitch. So can anybody tell me why this would happen?

Number of things from character profiles being erased from server data to recreation and back-up of the map or even just a corruption due to a mod take your pick your guess is probably as good as mine.

Thought I read somewhere that voltz is still pretty much in beta stage so the block id's shuffle around a lot and maybe your inventory suddenly contained a bunch of things with a non-existent block id after a patch.
