When i drop an item or sometimes just try to pick up an item it gets equipped on my feet (the boots equipment slot). This would not be a major problem however if i had any boots equipped they disappear. Also if you try to pick up items of the same type as the item on my feet they disappear.
Edit: This is not isolated to only me, it seems that everyone on the server is having the same issue. I updated to Java 7 update 15 and I am still having the issue. I can't find any mention of this anywhere, it seems unlikely that only my server is having this issue. Perhaps I am using the wrong terminology (cant drop items, auto equip feet, items equipped to feet... etc)
