Wafflecakes Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 Ok, so I'm fairly new to Tekkit and I decided to try out the Nuclear Reactor. The problem is though, it doesn't work and I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. Here's my setup: I've build an underwater bunker with Reinforced Stone and the Nuclear Reactor and the 6 Chambers around it (in a star shape) are in water. The Nuclear Reactor isn't entirely filled, only 2 Uranium Cells and 3 colums of Cooling Cells around it. There's a 4x Insulated HV Cable connected to one of the chambers and goes all the way to the shore, where my house is (about 30-40 blocks). There, I've connected the insulated cable to a HV transformer (the 3 dotted side pointing to the insulated cable) and on the other side I have Glass Fibre Cable going from the transformer to a MFSU. The MFSU isn't receiving any power... (The dot on the MFSU isn't pointing towards the Glass Fibre Cable) Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks! Quote
Errafu Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 Hv cable loses a lot of eu per block. place the hv transformer closer to the reactor. Also, I dont think just 2 uranium cells require hv cable. You might be able to just use glass fibre cable. Quote
Wafflecakes Posted March 2, 2013 Author Posted March 2, 2013 Ok, it works now, thanks for the help! Quote
Wafflecakes Posted March 2, 2013 Author Posted March 2, 2013 I've got one more question though: what does Mark I, Mark II, ..., Mark V mean? Quote
Errafu Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 Higher Marks can run for a lower amount of time, I think. Quote
Wafflecakes Posted March 2, 2013 Author Posted March 2, 2013 But what is the difference between the different 'Marks'? Is there a difference in how you build them? I don't really understand what it means. Quote
Errafu Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 The layout of the uranium cells and coolant stuffs. Quote
XxButtholiansxX Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 I have a question, im not sure if your asking the same question but, how do i make my reactor have huge storage like this at 4:40. mine is just a 3x6 going vertical rectangle box. Quote
