What happens when Tekkit drops the support on Tekkit Classic?

I own a Tekkit Classic server, on the day when they find a solid and reliable replacement, will they still support existing maps made by Tekkit classic?

Also, will Tekkit classic ever get out of 1.2.5?

Finally, I found that the recommended build for classic is 3.1.2 and the latest is 3.1.3. How do you find what version yours is, without looking on the jar file? I stupidly renamed it 'Tekkit'.

your version is going to be 3.1.2 because that is by default. Tekkit classic will never be out of 1.2.5 due to mods only updating from 1.2.5 to 1.4.7 so there is no versions in between. I am willing and hoping to bet that they continue to support Tekkit Classic due to its popularity.
