Noob OP question about /give

Hi, i have done some searching the last 2 nights and have not been able to find out how to do items with : in the item number under the /give command. I want to give a couple colored lamps to fellow players for rewards when we do something or what not. But when i do /give "player" 758:9 1 It tells me that 758:9 is not a valid number and thats what the game shows as a value. How do i type in the number correctly to give something like 758:9 Inverted Cyan Lamp?

Any help would be appreciated.

IIRC, you want /give player 758 1 9 .
