Sonic Bomb Block Animation

Hi, I've been having this problem on my new computer where the blocks that are supposed to get sent flying just disappear where they were and reappear where they are supposed to land. The same thing happens with red matter bombs where I can't see the blocks getting sucked into it. I know that this is a problem because it worked fine on my laptop, and I also don't know what to call this problem. Please, can anyone tell me what I need to change for the animations (is that the right word?) to show? Thanks, and if I posted wrong tell me so I won't do it next time.
