Game crashes seconds after logging in; I never see the game load onto the screen.

Description of Problem:

I can load the launcher just fine, and I can apparently log in to our multiplayer server. All that I see is the loading screen (the dirt texture). Other players on the server see the text saying I have logged on. I never leave the loading screen, then the game crashes. The loading screen can stay there up to a minute and a half. Since downloading the launcher, I have gone from having no problems, to serious lag, to now this.
