Can't launch Technic Launcher on Mac

Hi I can't seem to open up my technic launcher on mac It was working fine before until I accidently deleted it. When I downloaded it again instead of a .zip I got a .jar file. And when I try to open the .jar file for some reason It says " The JAVA Jar file could not be launched"

Other Info:

Version: 10.8.3 (Mountain Lion)

Java 7
