Item id 256 iron shovel crash

Hi on my server we find that iron shovel(id 256) crash the client,the only way to get it back on the server is to delete de player data

The message it give is [internal exception: java.io.IOException: Not in GZIP format]

We use tekkit 2.1.1 on ubuntu 10.04 server

Anyone have this probleme?

I search on the forum and i find another server whit this probleme and is solution is a sign at the spawn and it say "dont craft iron shovel'

For me its not a good fix

I fix the bug whit a bukkit plugin

Put the id in the config reload the server and player can't craft a shovel

Does this also stop zombies from dropping them as loot?

This is what keeps happening to my players.
