Launcher does not work with latest Java

Launcher Version: Build 224

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.7.5

Java Version: Java 7 Update 21

Antivirus Program: None

Description of Problem:

Latest Launcher does not work with latest Java. On the download page you write that Launcher requires Java and recommend downloading latest version. In the forums people recommend downgrading Java. I cannot do that since my internet banking apps will not work if the absolutely latest versions of Java are not installed (for maximum security). The whole point of Java is platform independence so if Launcher works fine on Windows machines with latest Java then why not on Mac?

Java 1.6 required
