so, as some of us have known and seen some conflicts and confusion arise and everyone is used to tekkit as the only 1.2.5

so, why not kill that confusion with Tekkit aka Tekkit Classic and the new Tekkit as Tekkit2?

that way tekkit will be known as Tekkit 1 or Classic and so on... etc etc
