Tekkit launcher is stuck at logo

[Vlax]

Launcher Version: Idk, all I know is that it's probably the latest version.

Operating System: Windows 7,

Java Version: build 1.7.0_21-b11

Antivirus Program: Norton

Description of Problem:

when i click on the launcher icon, it opens and shows the new tekkit space logo. it never gets past that. tekkit used to work before. now it just stays at the logo, and i opened windows task manager and i noticed it's memory stays 43,583 KB. i restarted the computer, and the same thing happens. i shut down everything. nothing happens. plus, it never crashes during the logo thingy. so i dont think there will be an error report that helps.

Goto the followin directory

Windows: C:\Users\"User Name"\%AppData%\Roaming\

The folders may be hidden, so make sure to make hidden folders visible in your systems settings.

Google will tell you how.

Remove the .technic directory completely.

Restart the launcher it will ask you to open a install directory click ok and it will work as before.

This fixed mine too. Do you happen to know what happens to make this a problem? Maybe I can avoid it in the future.

It appears to be something with...spout?

That's the exact same error I'm getting. Something from spout...but I don't know exactly why.

You might be able to just delete everything out of the cache folder.
