Problems with setting up a server. Need a little help.

Hello,

I downloaded and extracted the server 1.0.6 on my windows 8 platform. I have java installed and all that good stuff. But, when i try to launch the server i get an error in command prompt "Java is not recognized as an internal or external command" Im kind of stuck at this point, and do not know what to do. If someone could try and give me a solution to this problem, that would be great.
