Juggy Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 So my friends and I decided we wanted to play Tekkit and make our way to the moon. We went in and started our world, but when I attempted to make something from GalactiCraft it would spawn then delete the item, but give me the stuff back. Even when I clicked on the spot where the Oxygen items would go, the game would crash for 'internal server error'. Is anyone else having this problem? We tried a new world and went into creative but it did the same thing. I've seen multiplayer servers using GalactiCraft. Please help.
Magister Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 sounds like you might have an issue with your configs, if it crashed the report would be helpful
Juggy Posted May 15, 2013 Author Posted May 15, 2013 When I said crash I mean it kicks me and says "internal server error". And the only way I can get the server to run and open for multiplayer is running the minecraft_server.jar itself. The Tekkit.jar and the .bat's do not help. I messed with them until they ran but it never opened the server for multi.
Magister Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 if the bats dont work or the tekkit.jar doesnt you may want to try redownloading and doing a fresh install, and check the bats and modify if needed, you should really launch using them. and generally an internal server error will give you more info on the server logs which could be helpful
Juggy Posted May 15, 2013 Author Posted May 15, 2013 Ok so I launched it but now... Its only loading Local (Obvioisly) It's not letting anyone join. "Can't reach server." Also, by modding the .bat I meant like, I only have 4GBs so I changed it.. ( I saw a wiki tell me to do that.) java -Xmx1G -Xms1G -jar Tekkit.jar nogui pause ---------------------------------------- 2013-05-15 00:38:29 [iNFO] Starting minecraft server version 1.5.1 2013-05-15 00:38:47 [iNFO] Loading properties 2013-05-15 00:38:47 [iNFO] Default game type: SURVIVAL 2013-05-15 00:38:47 [iNFO] Generating keypair 2013-05-15 00:38:48 [iNFO] Starting Minecraft server on *:25565 2013-05-15 00:38:59 [WARNING] Failed to load operators list: java.io.FileNotFoundException: .\ops.txt (The system cannot find the file specified) 2013-05-15 00:38:59 [WARNING] Failed to load white-list: java.io.FileNotFoundException: .\white-list.txt (The system cannot find the file specified) 2013-05-15 00:38:59 [iNFO] Preparing level "world" 2013-05-15 00:38:59 [iNFO] Preparing start region for level 0 2013-05-15 00:39:00 [iNFO] Preparing spawn area: 7% 2013-05-15 00:39:01 [iNFO] Preparing spawn area: 16% 2013-05-15 00:39:02 [iNFO] Preparing spawn area: 28% 2013-05-15 00:39:03 [iNFO] Preparing spawn area: 39% 2013-05-15 00:39:04 [iNFO] Preparing spawn area: 49% 2013-05-15 00:39:05 [iNFO] Preparing spawn area: 60% 2013-05-15 00:39:06 [iNFO] Preparing spawn area: 69% 2013-05-15 00:39:07 [iNFO] Preparing spawn area: 81% 2013-05-15 00:39:08 [iNFO] Preparing spawn area: 93% 2013-05-15 00:39:09 [iNFO] Done (10.320s)! Magister Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 that changes everything, on windows you will need to change the priority programs bind to the network addapters, or use forcebind in the script (can be a problem), you will also need to set the vpn metric to lower than your normal adaptor, if you are on linux you will need to manual adjust your ifconfig to change the metric settings, when you use vpn it tends to make things a little more complex
Juggy Posted May 16, 2013 Author Posted May 16, 2013 I'm on my friends atm. He just downloaded it and opened on hamachi though.. (He's on windows)
Magister Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 setting up a server with a vpn takes more work, google how to do minecraft and hamachi, you will need to forward ports still and set some things up on the server itself
Juggy Posted May 16, 2013 Author Posted May 16, 2013 I don't understand why I need to port forward. I set up normal minecraft servers all the time and my friend just downloaded it and ran. ;s
Magister Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 if you have any kind of firewall or router you need to forward ports to the ip you are running the server on and add exceptions to the firewall if any, when adding vpn into the mix you need to forward any ports that may be used by it as well
