[Help] Issues with connecting to servers!

My mom has issues when trying to connect to my local Tekkit server, it gets stuck on 'Logging In' and after about 5 seconds of that is stops responding and must be closed via task manager.

When she tries to connect to any other tekkit server, she just gets a connection reset error.

I've looked everywhere and found no help.

She runs 64bit Windows XP, I've tried using the old Tekkit launcher, but there is no option for Tekkit in it, I've tried installing the latest java, downgrading and upgrading to different builds, not using the development build and only using automatic, copying my Tekkit folder over on to hers, giving her my launcher and nothing works!

However, she can still play Singleplayer. Any ideas?
