Java Version: Latest and Previous, 32bit and 64bit tried
Antivirus Program: Uninstalled
Description of Problem:
On starting the Tekkit launcher from anywhere on the computer, my computer almost maxes the cpu and will lag like Windows 95 used to, then eventually (after a couple of minutes, maybe) an 'invisible' Tekkit window will appear. I'm not able to interact with said window, but it is there as I cant click anything behind it such as desktop icons etc.
Tekkit has previously worked on my computer with exactly the same hardware before i changed my hardrive for an SSD (OCZ Vertex 4) but since the clean install it has had this problem.
I have tried starting the Tekkit launcher from different drives on the computer I.E, the SSD boot drive, the Tb storage drive, and external drives and all create the same problem. I've also tried clearing the .tekkit folder and reinstalling it to different locations as above.
I've waited for updates to everything to see if it would fix the problem. My graphics card driver has been updated recently (GTX 480) Java was updated an hour ago (i've tried x32 and x64) and there has been several new versions of the tekkit launcher since I started having the problem. I have also tried updating more obscure things such as OpenGL and drive firmware.
An interesting bug i've found, if I disconnect the internet and run and older version of the tekkit launcher then it will start up but because i'm not connected tot he internet it wont download any packs, but if I do connect to the internet, it will just update the tekkit launcher to the newest version. Firewall is disabled aswell.
Any help would be awesome, if you're having this problem, you're probably the only other person on the planet as i've scoured the internet and not found anything.
Thanks
