Updated Starter Guide/Tutorial?

So been playing Big Dig on and off since the new release, which was my exposure to the pack. For a noob it's very overwhelming and every getting started guide or tutorial I have found is woefully out of date.

Does anyone know of an updated one? I can look up the mods one by one and reciped via NEI, but an idea of which items from which mods to start with and how they synergize would really make things much easier to figure out.
