Launcher Issue

So, I downloaded the .exe launcher, it proceded to patch itself but right as the download finished another window appeared with the words Update Failed. I don't think this is the same as the other update failed where it stops mid download as mine seemed to have finished all three files. What can I do about this?

EDIT: Does this have to do with vanilla MC being updated to 1.2.5?

Your update probably hasn't got 'all three files', if my hunch is correct those three are all attempts to grab the files, look at the path for these 'files', I assume it doesn't change? If so that's the same problem a lot of us are having. I guess your guess about 1.2.5 is correct but I'm waiting on some real word from those who know better.

Oh ok, I did notice that the pathing for the files was always the same, in that case I shall wait until the Technic pack is updated. (or at least the mods in the pack)

The error is actually being thrown by the launcher itself so it should be a quicker fix than the mods or tekkit itself. Basically its downloading the minecraft.jar and going "What the hell are you? I don't recognise your version"... which seems like a silly bit of code when you expect new versions of MC to be coming out. :P
