Technic Launcher Freezes Computer

Whenever i open Technic Launcher, the little window pops up that says Technic Launcher, (Not the actual program just the text) I cant even get to the screen that allows me to log in. So, after i launch it my whole computer freezes up and i could really use some help.

Maybe your computer is no good? Tekkit is very resource intensive.
