I will click the launcher and it wont open

Operating System: Intel

Java Version: Latest

Antivirus Program: Windows defender

Description of Problem:

I cant open the launcher, it will try then do nothing

I download mine then when i click on it to open it up it doesnt open it just deletes itself please help me because I believe the same thing is happening to this fine gentlemen.

Normally if someone says their running the latest version of Java my eyes continue downwards. But due to the fact that you said your operating system is Intel leads to some doubts.

Now I need a specific Java version. In order to do this you'll have to perform a Google Search. Good luck. May all the odds be in your favor.

I'm getting the same problem. I also just updated Java a few minutes ago, so it's whatever the latest is. (I'm also on Windows 8, and just even uninstalled my antivirus... Probably not a smart move though.)
